The 2019 inaugural Women in Music Festival was a celebration of women composing for multiple music genres including Indigenous, Games, Classical, Film and Jazz music.

The Festival was founded to address the fact that less than 5% of music performed on the concert platform is of music written by women.

​

On Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of March, from 12pm to 4pm,  free events included forums, lectures, market stalls, buskers, fresh cold-pressed juices... and then to top off both days, from 7pm to 9pm, we experienced spectacular concerts of stunning pieces written by women and performed by some of Australia's finest musicians.
