SALLY GREENAWAY
Sally Greenaway is a multi-award winning composer-pianist hailing from Canberra. She is a post-graduate scholar of the Royal College of Music (London) and has earned herself the reputation of being a versatile and diverse musician. As a result she is highly sought after as a composer, arranger, musical director, jazz/classical pianist and educator.

As a composer, Greenaway’s writing spans a wide assortment of styles and genres, including classical chamber works, jazz big band works, and film soundtracks. She has won numerous awards for her music and has released 5 CDs featuring her work, including on the ABC Classics and Move Records labels to world-wide critical acclaim.​ Recent commissioners include Musica Viva, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and a syndicate of University wind bands in the USA.

Locally in Canberra, Greenaway works with several of Canberra’s music ensembles, is regularly invited to give masterclasses, workshops and adjudicate competitions.
​
She is currently Musical Director for ConneXion Big Band and lectures part-time at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Jazz Department as their jazz harmony, arranging and composition lecturer.
​
She is also very passionate about historic keyboard instruments and dabbles on the harpsichord, clavichord and historic pianos.
